This was a classic Westport bottom fishing trip targeting Rockfish and Lingcod. We ended the day with 7 chunky Rockfish and 2 quality Lingcod, more than enough meat to fill the freezer and smiles that’ll last a long time.
What made this trip extra special? One of our youngest anglers absolutely crushed it on the rod—proving it doesn’t take decades of experience to haul in a serious catch. With the help of our electric reels and plenty of deck space, this trip was as fun as it was productive. No gimmicks—just fish, family, and the kind of trip that reminds us why we do this.
